Spotahome's opinion
This super 9th floor studio apartment to rent on Carrer de Guillem de Castro feels like a much larger apartment. It’s sunny and airy, and while it is dominantly open-concept, a couple of strategic walls make certain areas, like the kitchen, seem self-contained. Stepping into the studio, you come across a 4-seat glass dining table. The equipped kitchen is directly in front of the door. It’s modern, spacious, and includes a dishwasher. To the left is a huge furnished terrace that you can enjoy year round, and to the right is an enclosed balcony that serves as a laundry room. The living area is furnished with a large sofa and TV and the sleeping area has a double bed. The bathroom can be accessed from the sleeping or living area, and it has a gorgeous shower.
Ciutat Vella is the old district - history envelopes you as you walk through the cobblestone streets and among historical buildings. There is plenty of sightseeing to be done in this neighborhood. The Botanical Garden is just 4 minutes away. The 15th century Torres de Quart are around the corner. Cafés await at Plaza de la Virgen, which is a 12-minute walk away. Distractions are plentiful, but the area will meet your basic needs. The Central Market, with over 1,000 stalls, is just 6 minutes from your door. Restaurants and bars are plentiful, and so are banks and hair salons.
What we liked the most
- Although a studio apartment, it feels much larger—and it comes with a huge and furnished terrace.
- You are in the heart of the old city, which is a magical place to live.
- You can choose to shop at the nearby central market instead of the grocery store.
- There are small plazas, parks and gardens where you can get away from the busy city.
